To do a clean install, boot the Windows installation media. Setup inspects your computer's hardware configuration and then begins to install the setup and driver files. Note: If your drive controller is not natively supported then you'll want to boot the Windows installation media. Then later you'll be prompted to insert the manufacturer supplied Windows driver for your drive controller in drive "A".
Read the license agreement, and then press the F8 key to accept the terms of the license agreement and continue the installation. When the Windows Setup screen appears, all the existing partitions and the unpartitioned spaces are listed for each physical hard disk.
Repeat this step for each of the existing partitions When all the partitions are deleted press F3 to exit setup, to avoid unexpected drive letter assignments with your new install then restart the machine then when you get to this point in setup again select the unpartitioned space, and then press C to create a new partition and specify the size if required.
Windows will by default use all available space. I have tried a clean boot several times. I put boot priority to CD drive and it skips right over the CD and starts up windows. I don't know if it is possible that i got a defective boot CD but clean boot does not work.
I can try hitting F6 but no option for f6 is there with my start up. The software package came with two discs, Disc number 1 does not even show up in my my computer as a readable disk. Your disk controller is newer than the media. You'll need to get the driver from the pc or mobo or disk controller manufacturer.
Is the floppy disk drive bootable? This is a problem if you can't get by this as the "A" drive is the only valid source of drivers. Failing this you may need to do an unattended installation. You will have to copy the whole Windows media into hard drive and integrate the drivers and again burn them on a new cd. The driver must be written to a 3. Sounds like you may have burned them to CD which wont work. The computer i am useing does not have a port for a 3. Seems like I'm running out of options hopefully this problem is resovable.
