Embedding excel files in word documents




















An embedded object is an object that is created with one application and then embedded into a document that is created by another application. For example when you embed an object or file created in Excel into a document created in Microsoft Word. Embedding the object, rather than just pasting it, ensures that the object retains its original format. Moreover, you get to alter the embedded object using the original program.

This means that you can open the embedded Excel file from Word itself and make changes in it. So you can go ahead and resize it as required. Note : The inserted table is not a regular Word table.
